Off the crease, Kate Cross entertains cricket fans with ‘No Balls: The Cricket Podcast’ which she presents alongside Thunder teammate Alex Hartley.

The Manchester native made history as the first girl to be selected for Lancashire's academy and was part of history again in 2022 as part of Team England's women's cricket team as it made its Commonwealth Games debut.

Cross’ sporting prowess is of no surprise; dad David was an FA Cup winner with West Ham in 1980, her sister Gemma has played in Netball’s Super League, while her brother Rob was also contracted to Lancashire.

It’s already a large family trophy cabinet, and Cross will be hoping to add a Commonwealth gold medal from Birmingham.

Cricket is one of the quintessential English sports, which was first included in the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
