The younger of the all-conquering Brownlee brothers, there is very little that Jonny has not achieved in triathlon since first taking up the sport as a teenager.

A proud Yorkshireman, he became triathlon’s most decorated Olympian at Tokyo 2020 by adding mixed relay gold to his individual silver from Rio 2016 and bronze at London 2012.

He previously also won individual silver and mixed relay gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Games before claiming another silver on the Gold Coast in 2018 in the mixed relay.

An emphatic winner of the U23 world title in 2010, he went on to be crowned ITU world champion two years later while he has won the ITU mixed team relay world title three times.

A keen gamer when not displaying his vast multi-sporting talent, Jonny was recognised for his triathlon achievements with an MBE in the 2022 New Year’s Honours.
