Alice Tai won gold in the 100m backstroke for the third Commonwealth Games running, doing so in the S9 category, to claim Team England’s fourth gold of the Games.
Elsewhere in the pool, Oliver Morgan and Luke Greenbank both made it onto the podium in the men’s 200m backstroke, winning silver and bronze respectively, while Team England also took silver in the men’s 4x200m freestyle relay.
In the bowls, Sian Honnor and Amy Pharaoh won a crucial tie break against India to reach the semi-finals, while Gabriel Langton was on hand to cheer on Adam Tobin in the gymnastics all-around finals where there were near-misses for both men and women.
