Sam Gowin made his Commonwealth Games debut on the Gold Coast as part of Team England's shooting team. 

He won a bronze medal in the 25m rapid-fire pistol event at Belmont Shooting Centre.

Sam is a Royal Artillery sergeant in the 16 Regiment Royal Artillery, the British Army's sole Short Range Air Defence Regiment.
