Team England's first-choice goalkeeper at Birmingham 2022, Ollie Payne earned a first senior international medal with Commonwealth bronze.

Torquay-born Payne made his senior debut for Great Britain at 21-years-old and earned a place on the Tokyo Olympic squad thanks to a series of fine performances at the 2021 EuroHockey Championships.

Standing at six feet tall, the 23-year-old was a part of the GB U21 team that won the Sultan of Johor Cup in 2018 and 2019, and was named Goalkeeper of the Tournament in the latter.

Payne plies his trade for England Hockey League Premier Division side Holcombe based in Rochester, England.

A Durham University product, Payne was new face between the sticks at the Commonwealth Games having taken over from 195-capped George Pinner.
