Noorin Gulam took part in her first weightlifting competition just six weeks after starting the sport - and she hasn't looked back since.
Gulam began lifting in her GCSE PE lessons and soon developed a talent and love for the sport.
She was crowned 2022 British Champion in the 49kg weight class and broke the national record with her 88kg Clean and Jerk lift, before just months later at her first Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, she set another British record in the 73kg snatch.
In 2026, Gulam added another British title to her CV, this time in the 53kg category.
Outside of her own sporting achievements, Gulam is a weightlifting coach and content creator.
