Matthew Dixon won not one but two silver medals on the Gold Coast in the 2018 Commonwealth Games, in both the 10m platform and the 10m syncro.

He came into Birmingham with high hopes of going better than that but finished 11th in the 10m platform.

He made his first Commonwealth Games appearance in Glasgow at the tender age of 14, finishing ninth in the 10m platform.

The Plymouth diver certainly has no fear when it comes to putting together a complex routine.

Aged 15 Dixon was commended for his bravery at the Baku European Games when a complex dive went wrong leaving him needing medical treatment, coming out again to finish fourth.

He bounced back this year, winning his third bronze medal at the European Diving Championships.

Team England made a splash in diving with their most successful ever Commonwealth Games in the sport seeing them win six golds and 16 medals in total.
