Matt Harding has swapped the swimming pool for dry land ahead of this summer’s Games.

The 22-year-old was previously a successful swimmer, sweeping up medals at junior and senior levels and breaking a number of British records along the way. 

But Harding swapped swimming for powerlifting last year, making his international debut on the platform at the World Championships in Tbilisi. 

The Wirral-based athlete will hope he continues to go from strength to strength as he competes in Birmingham.
