Maddie Leech was inspired by Laura Kenny, Katie Archibald and company at Rio 2016 to get on a bike.
Six years later, Leech roared to team pursuit bronze alongside Kenny at her maiden Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
The Huddersfield Star Wheeler also graduated from the same 'Go-Ride' programme which counts Kenny among its glittering alumni back in her early days on the track.
In early 2022, the master and the apprentice joined forces as Leech and Kenny teamed up in the madison at the UCI Track Nations Cup in Glasgow.
She now heads to her second Commonwealth Games as a staple member of the British and English cycling teams, with 2025 showering her with six international medals, including Madison gold and team pursuit bronze at the 2025 World Championships.
