Luke Greenbank returns to the Commonwealth stage looking to win the one individual medal that still eludes him.

Greenbank made history at Tokyo 2020 when he became the first Team GB swimmer to win an Olympic men’s backstroke medal over 200m, winning bronze, before taking silver as part of the 4x100m medley relay.

He has won world 200m backstroke medals in 2019 and 2022, bronze and silver respectively, and has two individual European Championships podiums to boot.

But in two previous Commonwealth Games, he has had to settle for a pair of relay medals, winning 4x100m medley silver in Gold Coast before upgrading to gold in Birmingham.

Swimming and Para-Swimming
Tom Dean aka “The SubmaDean” followed up his double Olympic triumph at Tokyo 2020 by making history in Birmingham, becoming the first Home Nations athlete to win seven medals at a single Commonwealth Games.
