Louise Fiddes has harnessed the power of the mind on the road to become a dominant force in S14 breaststroke and claim Commonwealth Games bronze

When she’s not putting in the miles in the pool, Fiddes uses yin yoga to relax and train her brain to deliver when the pressure is on.

The Welwyn star stamped her authority on the international stage with gold on her European Championship and World Championship debuts in the 100m breaststroke.

Fiddes then took Paralympic silver in that event and showcased her versatility with 200m individual medley bronze, which set up her medal push at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, which saw her claim bronze in the 200m freestyle.

Tom Dean aka “The SubmaDean” followed up his double Olympic triumph at Tokyo 2020 by making history in Birmingham, becoming the first Home Nations athlete to win seven medals at a single Commonwealth Games.
