Lele Nairne came agonisingly close to Commonwealth Games glory in Birmingham, but will be back for more in Glasgow.
The judoka narrowly missed out on a medal in the repechage match at her maiden Commonwealth Games after she received an unexpected selection as an injury replacement to world No.1 Lucy Renshall.
The Somerset star, who emerged from Bradley Stoke Judo Club, took European U23 silver in 2018 to cement her status as one to watch.
Nairne previously won a host of medals at European Open and European Cup level, before winning the 2022 IJF Grand Prix.
She made her Olympic bow at Paris 2024 and won bronze at the 2026 Sofia European Open.
A second Commonwealth Games also comes alongside her brother Ethan, with Glasgow 2026 a family affair for the two judoka.
