Jordan Catchpole was part of the British team that smashed the mixed 4x100m S14 relay world record at Tokyo 2020.

Catchpole struggled with a lack of routine in the build-up to the Games amid the pandemic and lockdown but showed his prowess in the pool.

After Tokyo, Catchpole became first person to be bestowed the freedom of Beccles since 1970.

His hero is Anthony Joshua and he supports West Ham United but it was his grandfather who made the biggest splash in Catchpole’s career after throwing him into the pool, literally, as a youngster.

Catchpole is also a two-time European medallist as well as a two-time World Championship silver and bronze medallist.

Tom Dean aka “The SubmaDean” followed up his double Olympic triumph at Tokyo 2020 by making history in Birmingham, becoming the first Home Nations athlete to win seven medals at a single Commonwealth Games.
