Ian Sloan earned a second Commonwealth bronze medal at Birmingham 2022 four years after sealing his first at Gold Coast 2018.

The midfielder is part of the furniture for both England and Great Britain having made the switch from Ireland, with the 29-year-old closing in on a century of combined caps.

Born in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, hockey is in Sloan's blood with father Martin amassing well over a century of caps for Ireland, whom he captained, while mother Adele also represented Ireland at international level.

Sloan followed in his parents' footsteps before making the switch, representing Great Britain at two Olympics and adding two Commonwealth bronzes to his collection.
