As an eight-year-old, Freya Colbert attended the British Swimming Olympic Trials as a spectator as competitors looked to seal their spot at London 2012.

Now, she's a Commonwealth Games bronze medallist - and she is back for more in Glasgow.

The teenager helped Team England to a brilliant bronze medal in the women's 4x200m freestyle in Birmingham alongside teammates Freya Anderson, Abbie Wood and Tamryn van Selm.

Since then, she has won gold in the event at the European Championships in 2022 and silver at the 2024 World Championships in Doha.

It was in Qatar that she claimed the biggest title of her career - gold in the 400m medley - but she narrowly missed out on a medal in the same event at the Paris Olympics that same year.

Swimming and Para-Swimming
Tom Dean aka “The SubmaDean” followed up his double Olympic triumph at Tokyo 2020 by making history in Birmingham, becoming the first Home Nations athlete to win seven medals at a single Commonwealth Games.
