Compared to Sir Bradley Wiggins by Ed Clancy in 2018, Ethan Hayter has shown since then that he belongs in the limelight.

Forged in the famous Herne Hill Velodrome in South London where he trained from the age of 13, Hayter has followed a time-worn path through British Cycling’s ranks.

First he shone on the track, taking team pursuit silver and points race bronze for Team England at Gold Coast 2018.

His track career peaked at the Tokyo Olympics where he took Madison silver alongside Matt Walls, a long-time partner on the boards.

Hayter is now carving out a role at Ineos Grenadiers, winning the general classification at Tour de Romandie in 2022. .

Cycling
Cycling at the Commonwealth Games in the past has taken place across three different disciplines; Track Cycling, Road Cycling and Mountain Bike.
