Daniel Goodfellow swapped the 10m platform for the 3m springboard but the result was the same: gold.

Goodfellow finished top of the men's 10m synchro podium alongside Tom Daley on the Gold Coast in 2018, as the pair followed up their Olympic bronze from Rio.

The Cambridge diver then made the switch to springboard, teaming up with Laugher to great effect as the pair World Championship silver in 2019 before claiming gold in the Diving World Cup Tokyo.  

Goodfellow's path took another turn ahead of Birmingham 2022 as he competed individually, but it seemed to make little difference as he took home gold on the 3m springboard, edging out compatriots Jordan Houlden and Laugher as part of an English podium sweep.
