Dan Bullen has timed his rise through para table tennis to perfection, resulting in a place on Team England at Birmingham 2022.

In December, Bullen claimed an emotional victory at the ITTF Para Copa Costa Rica, his first international gold medal.

Covid-19 imperilled his progress but he managed to maintain the momentum from his European Championship debut in 2019, where he reached the quarterfinals of the men's class 5 team event with Jack Hunter-Spivey.
