A mainstay of England’s defence since his international debut six years ago, Brendan Creed added a second Commonwealth bronze medal to his collection at Birmingham 2022.

Now with over a century of caps, Creed is back to his best after an anterior cruciate ligament injury almost derailed his career in 2019.

But the Solihull-born defender bounced back to be part of Team GB's squad for Tokyo 2020, before sealing Commonwealth bronze just a few miles from where he grew up.

Now playing his hockey in Belgium with Beerschot, Creed is known for his steepling aerial passes and often seen making the crucial injection pass for his side at short corners.

Creed also co-hosts a podcast with teammate Phillip Roper.

It was ecstasy for the women’s team who took home the title for the first time in history.
