A member of Team England’s bronze medal-winning squad on the Gold Coast in 2018, Abbie Brown will line up for the second Commonwealth Games at Birmingham 2022.

Brown made her full England debut against Wales in the 2015 Women’s Six Nations before playing for the Sevens team in the Rugby Europe Grand Prix Series.

She initially got into the sport after following in the tracks of her brother, starting at the age of six at Cullompton RFC, before going on to represent Team GB at Rio 2016.

Her high standards on and off the pitch saw her rewarded with the England captain for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons, also leading the team that booked Team GB’s place at Tokyo.

The Loughborough Lightning star has been named England Sevens co-captain alongside Meg Jones for the 2022 campaign as she looks to improve on the bronze from four years ago.
