As we reach the mid-point of the Gold Coast Games, Team England enter day six looking to add more medals to an already magnificent total, with Andrew Pozzi among the hopefuls.

Pozzi qualified quickest in this morning’s 110m hurdles heats enters tomorrow’s final as the man to beat after being crowned the indoor world champion over 60 hurdles earlier this year.

Sophie Hitchon looks to upgrade on the bronze medals she picked up in the 2014 Commonwealth and Rio 2016 Olympic games and leads England’s high hopes during another busy day in the Carrara stadium.

Britain’s fastest women, Dina Asher-Smith also starts her Gold Coast campaign tomorrow, those wanting to see her in tomorrow’s heats will also have to be up early and quick off the blocks as she’s out at 03:27 BST.

Elsewhere, Charlie Tanfield switches his attention to the road, this time though with his brother Harry, the pair are also joined alongside Ian Bibby as the trio pedal for gold in the men’s individual time trial event.

Ben Proud also returns to the pool, hoping for more luck this time round after an unfortunate start to his games following his disqualification in the 50m butterfly heats. However Proud will be confident diving-in to tomorrow’s 50m freestyle event, especially after setting a new games record of just 21.45 during today’s semi-finals.

The women’s basketball team play their quarter-final match against Jamaica for a place in Friday’s semi-final, likewise the men’s beach volleyball pairing of Chris Gregory and Jake Sheaf are also in the knockout stages of their event. They play Scotland for a place in the last four.

Finally super heavyweight boxer Frazer Clarke begins his Gold Coast campaign against Australia’s Toese Vou Siutu, hoping to emulate former sparring partner Joe Joyce by leaving Australia with a Commonwealth gold medal around his neck.
