Georgia Hunter Bell has gone from hunter to hunted as she cruised to a sensational women’s 800m gold on day eight of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
It was five medals out of five for Team England judokas, with Acelya Toprak’s gold the highlight of a superb day on the mat.
Sophie Capewell and Josie Knight both claimed silver as there were four more medals won by English cyclists in the velodrome.
And seven Team England boxers fought their way into tomorrow’s gold medal bouts, with three more taking bronzes.

There will be seven gold medals to be fought for as Team England’s boxers take to the ring for the final time on Saturday, with all of them guaranteed at least silver.
Track cycling continues with Josie Knight and Sophie Capewell among the Team England medallists looking to add to their hauls, while the women’s long jump and men’s 800m top the billing for the final day of athletics.
There are also three more judo medals on offer, crunch matches in the bowls and Team England’s netballers face their semi-final against New Zealand.
